Gidday guys, name’s Matt.
I haven't always been a farmhand - I lived most of my life in Auckland, where I worked as an Accountant and I only recently moved to Raglan to work on Rosie’s dairy farm.
I was fed up of living in a big, busy city, so I made the move to farming, and I'm so glad I did because now I get to work outdoors, and no two days are the same. I’m also a keen surfer, which is why I chose to work on a farm in Raglan.
I’ve learnt heaps about dairy farming since I’ve been here, and I know what I’m doing… most of the time! Rosie and Toby the cat are pretty good at helping me out whenever I don’t know what to do, or if I get myself in trouble, which happens more than I’d like to admit!
My favourite food is a good homemade sardine sandwich, but lately the sardines have been disappearing from my sandwiches. I’m not sure if I keep forgetting to put them in or if someone is sneaking them out. There could be something fishy going on but I’m not sure...
